MarTech & Web Operations

Foundation

I run website operations using a host of tools for functionality, usability, and satisfying design. As the building block of sites I’ve used Squarespace, Wix, Wordpress, and Figma as the core CMS. This includes some work in HTML to customize features like buttons and integrations.

Currently I manage both visitwalnutcreek.org and walnut-creek.com. I build and update landing pages and the functionality of the sites. Information changes fast in our city, which requires live updates to reflect details about events, things to do, and business openings and closings.

Integrations

I have experience running website operations using a host of tools for functionality, usability, and satisfying design. I’ve created and maintained sites using Squarespace, Wix, Wordpress, and Figma. I currently manage both visitwalnutcreek.org and walnut-creek.com. I manage how these sites work with our vendor products including Mindtrip AI, Ripe, Wander Maps. These sites work with GA4 for accurate metric and visitation reporting.

Data Layer

The core of any site is the data layer. For this I rely on GA4 to measure how pages are performing, look for errors, and partner with media agencies to see marketing campaign attribution.

Inquiries are pushed into our CRM Zoho for Sales to track and manage. I’ve also built and managed CRM management in Salesforce.

With established audience I use MailChimp to create, send, and report on messages and emails that I send out.

Integrations

Running a DMO site like visitwalnutcreek.org demands more than a static site to inform visitors, it’s needs to live, breathe and be up to date with the destination it represents. That’s where integrations come in. For the site I introduced and integrated Mindtrip AI and Ripe. These tools give users more functionality at their fingertips to engage with Walnut Creek.

Mindtrip is an AI Trip Planner that I wove into the fabric of the site with custom itineraries, guides, and chat features that allow visitor to build or discover the perfect trip for them in Walnut Creek.

Ripe is the booking engine that allows us to integrate and drive user action directly into the site. This looks like HTML widgets that live on pages so users can select and see live rates for our hotel partners and book in our ecosystem. It also allows the inclusion on packaged stays.

I prioritize creating a digital ecosystem that relies on technology that works together and is incredibly usable for the end customer. This is why I integrated our Ripe booking capabilities directly into our Mindtrip Trip Planner so inspiration and booking live in one environment that we own.
